This magnificent baobab (Adansonia digitata) will be sent to you without leaves, without soil and without a pot, with its phytosanitary certificate by La Poste. The Baobab can remain more than 6 months without watering).

Transport and packaging (+/- 40% of the price) and the mandatory phytosanitary certificate (20€) are included in the price.

“Free transport” products are delivered by post (between 10 and 60 days, see +++) to the delivery address indicated by the buyer when ordering. It is sometimes impossible to track the package because the tracking numbers change from one country to another; you must contact your national post office.

For most countries the maximum is 20 kg with some exceptions; above the baobab is delivered by air to the airport of your choice (tell us the airport on the address when ordering), you will have to clear the package either alone or through a forwarding agent or a customs agent…..you will receive an LTA number to trace the package…..please inquire beforehand for the costs of these.

MANUAL :

Easy cultivation by reproducing arid tropical type conditions. Use the same standard 3-tier substrate as for cacti, potting soil, river sand and loam.

During the growing season, give it a sunny position, a temperature of 20/25°C and regular but not excessive watering.

Fertilizer: a little limestone gravel or even eggshells that we will break before mixing them with a fork around the plant. Add a little organic fertilizer in granules in early spring if necessary.

Repotting every 2/3 years with root pruning if you want to keep it as a bonsai. Prune the branches once a year at the beginning of autumn or before the resumption of vegetation.

Possibility of taking it outside from June to the end of August when the temperatures are mild (+15/18 degrees), as soon as the temperatures fall below 10 degrees bring the baobab into a suitable place.

During the rest period, the leaves fall and it can be overwintered at 15°C in a less well-exposed place with greatly reduced watering intended solely for the conservation of the roots.
